We caught up with Jose Sampedro, Founder & CEO of LexKnights to hear about his experience being on the first GLIDE cohort.
What's GLIDE? Global Legal Innovation and Digital Entrepreneurship (GLIDE) is the National LegalTech Accelerator Programme in Singapore connecting high-growth LegalTech entrepreneurs with Law Firms, Law Schools and legal industry professionals to revolutionise Asia's legal industry.
What did you hope to achieve from GLIDE?
“The main goal was to gain deeper access the community of legal service providers and users. By leveraging the organization’s network, I aimed to robustly validate the vision and strategy for the start-up, or to pivot in the right direction.”
Share 1 most memorable experience from GLIDE that changed your LegalTech journey.
“The most significant experiences involved sharing among co-founders from the other start-ups in the cohort. It was extremely helpful to have the time-out to share similar struggles and alternative solutions, both from a practical perspective as well as feeling empathy from others who are in the same battle.”
How did GLIDE help you get closer to your end goal?
“In addition to the co-founder sharing, the one-on-one mentor sessions were most powerful. I had the opportunity to build strong bonds with some of the external mentors who were strongly committed to help, and also had great coaching from Eric, our full-time GLIDE coach.”
What's next for LexKnights?
“GLIDE has had a transformative impact on LexKnights’ vision and strategy. As I come out of the program, it will be about giving effect to those new ideas to take the company in the right direction, thinking bigger than ever.”
