Meet the FLIPFam: Herbert Smith Freehills

Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) is a leading global law firm which values connections, collaboration, leadership and excellence.

On joining the Future Law Innovation Programme (FLIP), Vivien Clancy (Legal Operations Manager and champion for innovation at HSF) shared that "we are thrilled to have become a member of the FLIPFam, further extending the terrific ecosystem already cultivated by the Singapore Academy of Law. Our commitment to innovation is deeply embedded within the firm – we have a range of initiatives aimed at creating a conducive environment for innovation – and we have an experienced and passionate team of thought-leaders and domain experts already working hard to deliver on key innovation projects. We hope to contribute to the FLIP ecosystem, support FLIP's cross-industry collaboration to deliver change and to stay plugged in to the ever-evolving legal sector in Singapore."

Vivien also shared the overarching innovation goal at HSF is to continue to encourage cultural change both within the organisation and the wider legal community to embrace innovation, share their own learnings and failures, and learn from others on this same journey in the wider legal community.
