About the event
Module 1: Opportunity Recognition & Ideation Management
In collaboration with SMU Academy, FLIP is proud to present a two-part course on Design Thinking, customised for the legal sector!
About the course:
Drive innovation at your organisation through ideation and creative problem solving. Learn corporate and entrepreneurial ideation management and innovation processes by studying how business owners encourage innovation in their own enterprises.
In this first module, you will learn how to think like an innovator, from the initial idea to managing resources, building partnerships with committed stakeholders, dealing with contingencies while putting that idea into effect.
You will also asked to consider your own accomplishments and how these might support the creation of new ventures. As you work on these accomplishments, you will charter the skills, knowledge and abilities to create a unique set of means for driving your own innovation projects.
Offered by the same faculty teaching in SMU's Master of Science in Innovation, this course aims to introduce students to ideation management and the process of innovation, at both entrepreneurial and the corporate level to see how entrepreneurs and corporate "intrapreneurs" use ideation and creative problem solving to drive innovation.
Course Date:
